September 15th marks the second year celebrations of a day to be grateful for the choices that most of us have for the education appropriate for our children.
Germany participates in this initiative in the hope that one day this too may be the case in their country.
Here are the bookmarks (that I had hoped would be more elaborately designed) for you to print and trim, for stashing in library books and giving to friends. Perhaps your library has a community area where you can put the bookmarks for people to take, or even ask the librarians if they would put them in each book issued for the day, or any other day for that matter.
They can also be printed out for distribution at community events, parades, sports days, lectures, cafe noticeboards......wherever you can get the message out.

The Status Quo
For those new to the situation in Germany: home educating is (perceived as) illegal.
The common citation for forced school attendance is to protect against parallel societies.
Educating Germany discusses arguments for (and against) legalising home education in Germany.
We report on human rights violations; provide translations of media articles, interviews, court hearings and personal stories into English; and suggest practical ways people, internationally, can lobby for change and support those who long for freedom of education.
